Last October, Digital Federal Credit Union (Digital FCU) was named a 2016 Excellence in Technology Award Winner for their use of SMA Solutions’ predictive analytics solution Ascern. The credit union won for their submission titled “Digital FCU’s Deployment of Ascern, a Predictive Analytics Tool from SMA Solutions.”
The credit union, which holds $8B in assets, started by using Ascern to replace a tool that monitored ATM devices, card services switches and shared branching. DCU now uses Ascern to monitor a wide range of other devices and transaction patterns. Using Ascern’s heat map feature, the credit union can instantly see when to schedule routine system maintenance. The end result is that the credit union has saved time and money while addressing a myriad of issues.
“Ascern has increased visibility by providing end users with relevant and reliable real-time and predictive data in a straightforward design,” said Allison Cormier, DCU’s IS operations team lead. “Ascern provides a means to identify a problem or potential issue, calculate our next course of action and then measure the success rate of our reaction.
